I’m Shayla Peterson, Dope Therapist Alumni Spring 2020 & Dope Therapist Coach. I have received questions in my inbox recently on how to start and develop a sustainable practice?
I can't take all the credit and I want to be fully transparent with you. Earlier last year I did not have the option to say I was running a successful practice. I was on my way, but I knew something was missing. My numbers were not adding up like I had hoped for. I wanted to reach more people.
After joining Doctor TK’s program, DOPE THERAPIST ACADEMY things quickly changed for me. I learned early on, I could actually my IMPACT and have good INCOME as a clinical social worker. My only regret is that I didn’t start sooner.
When I did, I niched down even further and started to attract my ideal clients whom I thoroughly enjoy working with.
I created a BLUEPRINT for my business for the next 5 years which included the launch of HEY SIS in Fall 2020 and The Therafriend Network membership in Winter 2020. Most recently, I started to offer digital product to the public and course, titled CTRL Shift Gram: Shift Your Thoughts about Instagram to help clinicians with the overwhelm & anxiety about posting on Instagram.
I have been able to increase my impact. My family income did not suffer financially due to the era we are in nor the time I spent with husband and daughter. Did I mention I was able to take off 3 weeks for Winter Break, Celebrate Christmas with Family and move to a new State all while maintaining my salary.
Truthfully, I was able to quadruple the amount of clients that I was able to serve. That meant more women are walking around with tools to tame their anxiety and live more balanced lives!
I was once in your shoes, but The DOPE THERAPIST ACADEMY changed that for me. I even developed a SQUAD that holds me accountable to my professional and personal goals.
It’s the mindset for me!
𝟯-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘁 at the Aria 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝘀 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘀, 𝗡evada.
The transformation that took place over the course of 3 days as clinician I know I can’t go back to operating like I have in the past. As the saying goes “When you know better, you do better”... and you act accordingly. I was able to develop my entire membership program, launch on Black Friday and closed early due to all spots being filled.
I earned more than CEU’s, I received more than a view of the Vegas Strip, more than a first class flight from South Carolina to Nevada. I got one on one access to Dope business coach for therapist, Dr. TK , I connected with new Therafriends, I have accountability partners that will call me out on my stuff & encourage me at the same time and a timeline of ideas to implement in further my impact. It was a WIN WIN for me.
The upgrade has started for me!
